Continuing its practice to select a different region each year the North American Sea Glass Association chose Hyannis for this year's event. Thousands of sea glass enthusiasts from around the world make this a "must-do" travel destination. Over 50 sea glass vendors will be exhibiting along with an area for collectors to show off their prized shards. And of course, the "Shard of the Year" contest will be held with cash awards in several categories and the $1,000 Grand Prize for the most beautiful sea glass shard.

This will be the second annual sea glass event for the newly formed California Sea Glass Association drawing artisans from around the country. Along with over 30 sea glass vendors a "Prize Piece" contest will be held on Sunday with a cash award of $500!
